Questions people ask
How much smaller will my PDF get?
It depends on the file. Scans and photo PDFs often shrink a lot. PDFs that are mostly text may not shrink at all, and we tell you the real numbers.
What if the result is bigger than my original?
Then we offer your original file unchanged and suggest a stronger level. We never hand you a bigger file as if it were smaller.
Why can I not select text after compressing?
Medium and Strong redraw each page as a picture, which is how the size drops. Use Light to keep the text, or keep the original for copying.
Is my PDF uploaded?
Everything runs on your device, so the file is never uploaded.
