Questions people ask
What makes a good slug?
Short, lower case, words separated by hyphens, no special characters, and a hint of what the page is about, for example /diwali-gift-ideas.
Hyphen or underscore?
Hyphens. Search engines read hyphens as word separators, while underscores can join words together.
What about Hindi and other scripts?
By default letters are converted to English letters and others are dropped. Tick the keep option to keep Hindi or other scripts; browsers will encode them in the address.
Should I change a slug after the page is live?
Avoid it. If you must, redirect the old address to the new one with a 301 redirect.
