Questions people ask
Are these limits always right?
They are the limits commonly published for each place, and platforms change them. Always check the platform if a post must be exact. Meta ad lengths are recommendations, not hard stops.
Do emoji count as one character?
Here an emoji counts as one character. Some platforms count them as two or more, so leave a small margin.
Why does X count links differently?
X counts any link as 23 characters whatever its length. This tool counts the characters you typed, so a post with a link may fit even when it looks long here.
What about Hindi text?
Each Devanagari letter and sign counts as a character. SMS in Hindi uses a shorter limit of 70 characters per message part.
