Questions people ask
Is this an official NPCI or merchant QR?
No. It is a standard UPI payment link drawn as a QR code, which any UPI app can scan. Banks and payment gateways issue merchant QR codes with extra checks and reporting; shops that take many payments should get one of those as well.
Will the amount be fixed when the customer scans?
When you add an amount most apps fill it in and some let the payer edit it. Apps differ, so test with your own phone. Leave the amount empty to let the payer type it.
Are my UPI ID and details sent anywhere?
No. The QR is drawn inside your browser. Nothing is uploaded or stored, so the page works even when you are offline after it has loaded.
Why does my UPI app say the payment is not allowed?
UPI apps may block payments to some business IDs from a plain link, or limit the amount. If that happens use the QR code from your bank or your payment gateway for business payments.
