Questions people ask
What is the difference between JPG, PNG and WebP?
JPG is small and good for photos but has no transparency. PNG is lossless and keeps transparency, so it suits logos and screenshots, but photos are large. WebP is a modern format that is usually smaller than both and supports transparency.
Why did transparent areas turn white?
JPG cannot store transparency. When you convert a PNG or WebP with see-through areas to JPG, they are filled with white.
Can it convert HEIC photos from an iPhone?
Not yet. Browsers cannot read HEIC. On an iPhone, set Camera, Formats to Most Compatible, or share the photo as JPG, and then convert it here.
Is converting free and private?
Yes. It runs inside your browser, so the files are not uploaded and there is no limit besides your device memory.
