Questions people ask
Will resizing stretch my picture?
Not by default. With Keep the proportions ticked, typing a width gives the matching height automatically. If you give both numbers, the picture is fitted inside that box without distortion. Untick it only if you really want to stretch.
What does a preset do when my photo has a different shape?
You choose: Fill the size crops the edges so the picture covers the whole preset, Fit inside shows the whole picture and leaves empty bars, and Stretch squeezes it to the exact size.
What size should a passport photo be?
India passport and many visa photos use 35 x 45 mm, which is 413 x 531 px at 300 dpi. The 2 x 2 inch format used elsewhere is 600 x 600 px. Always check the exact rules of the office you are applying to, since requirements differ.
Does making an image bigger improve it?
No. Enlarging only stretches the existing pixels, so it can look soft. Resize down when you can and keep your original.
Are my files uploaded?
No. Everything happens inside your browser, so your photos stay on your device.
