Questions people ask
Which sizes do I need?
A favicon.ico with 16, 32 and 48 px covers browsers and search results. Add the 180 px apple-touch icon for iPhones, and 192 and 512 px for web apps. The ZIP contains all of them.
What image works best?
A square PNG with a transparent background and a simple, bold shape. Fine detail disappears at 16 px, so avoid small text.
Where do I put the files?
Upload them to the root of your website and paste the link tags shown on the page into the head of your pages. WordPress and most site builders also have a Site Icon setting that accepts the 512 px PNG.
Are my images uploaded?
No. The icons are drawn in your browser.
