QR Code Generator

Free QR codes that never expire. They are made on your device, and what you type is not sent anywhere.

Your files stay with you. Your files never leave your browser. This tool runs on your device: nothing is uploaded to our servers, so there is nothing for us to store or see.

How to use it

  1. Choose what the code should hold: a link, text, WiFi or contact card.
  2. Fill in the details and pick colours.
  3. Download the code as PNG, or SVG for print.

Questions people ask

Do these QR codes expire?
No. The code simply contains your text or link, there is no tracking server in between. It works as long as your link does. The flip side is that you cannot change where it points; make a new code instead.
How do I make a WiFi QR code?
Choose WiFi network, type the network name and password and the security type (most routers use WPA). Phone cameras then offer to join the network when they scan it.
Which format should I download?
PNG for documents, social media and screens. SVG for print, because it stays sharp at any size, for example on a poster.
Why will my code not scan?
Use a dark code on a light background, keep the white border, and do not make it too small. Very long text makes a dense code, so shorten it or use a short link. Always test with your phone before printing.
Is the content sent to a server?
No. The code is generated in your browser.
